I needed a drink after hearing this question, already the media hides and disguises race from it's audience when reporting on crime, they very often leave out the major identifying factor of race, even when describing fugitives and criminals on crime sprees that they are asking the public to look for, now they want the police to conceal the identity of suspects among themselves?

Police are looking for three people wanted in connection with a string of robberies in Brooklyn.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Police say two men and a woman robbed an Auto Zone in Dyker Heights earlier this month and also a CVS pharmacy in Marine Park.
Investigators say the most recent robbery happened last Thursday at an Auto Zone in Flatlands.
They say in all three robberies, the suspects held up the workers at gunpoint, demanded cash and took off.
One of the men is said to be 5' 10", 170 pounds, and was last seen wearing a green, tan and white zip-up jacket with a hood.
The woman is described as 5' 7", 130 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue zip up jacket with a hood.
The second man is described as 6' 0" tall, 190 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket.

Here is a heartbreaking/shocking/scary, but humorous exchange between a modern reporter and a crime victim in regards to describing the criminals.
Here’s a clip in which a British reporter is appalled when store owner Big Jim says he found “at least 100 black youths” looting shops in his neighborhood, she is arguing with the victim/eye witness, because of her own Pavlovian training in regards to mentioning race in regards to crime:
Reporter: “You’re not being stereotypical there?”
Store Owner: “No, absolutely…”
Reporter: “Are you sure that they were black? I’m sure they weren’t all black, were they?”
Store Owner: ”OK, then. Let me just say they weren’t all black. I was the white guy there.”
Reporter: “Well, there were probably other white guys there as well.”
Store Owner: “I didn’t see any.”
