Most of the highest-paid CEOs lead media companies
Perhaps all that anger at executive compensation at investment banks is a bit misplaced.
Six of the top 10 highest paid CEOs last year led media companies, or at least companies that own media companies, according to an Associated Press analysis of S&P 500 companies helpfully put in slideshow form by the Huffington Post.
They are: Jeff Bewkes of Time Warner (26.1 million); Roger Iger of Walt Disney ($28 million); Brian Roberts of Comcast ($31 million); David Zazlav of Discovery Communications ($42.6 million); Phillip Dauman of Viacom ($84.5 million) and Les Moonves of CBS ($56.9 million).
